The Challenge by Choice Model: On a ropes course, we encourage every camper to climb to their personal comfort level. Reaching the top is celebrated, but so is climbing just one rung higher than they thought they could. This teaches them to listen to their own instincts and push their own boundaries, building self-efficacy.
Natural Consequences: If your tent isn’t pitched securely, you might feel a breeze you didn’t expect. If you forget your raincoat, you’ll get a little wet on the hike.
